2. What We Collect

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign in with Google or Apple
• Chat history — your conversations with Lumis, stored securely in our database to sync across devices
• Usage data — message counts and feature usage to enforce subscription limits and improve the app
• Subscription information — managed by RevenueCat; we receive confirmation of your plan but never your payment details
• Voice recordings — audio recorded for speech-to-text is sent directly to Groq's Whisper API and is never stored by us
• Uploaded files — images and documents you upload for analysis are processed in real-time and not permanently stored by us

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Lumis AI service
• To sync your conversations across your devices
• To manage your subscription and enforce usage limits
• To respond to support requests
• To generate anonymous, aggregated usage statistics

4. Third-Party Services

Lumis uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Groq — processes your messages to generate AI responses and transcribe voice input
• Supabase — stores your account data and chat history securely
• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and purchase verification
• Google / Apple — handles authentication when you sign in with those providers
• SerpAPI — performs web searches when you use search features

5. Data Retention

Your chat history is retained until you delete it or close your account. You can delete all conversations at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Clear All Chats. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at samuelsokan07@gmail.com.

6. We Never Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Ever.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit and Supabase's built-in security for data at rest. However, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication on your Google or Apple account.

8. Children's Privacy

Lumis is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at samuelsokan07@gmail.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Lumis after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
